Representing the quintessence of the type of group compiled by the Nuggets series, although in Europe, The Nivram barely recorded a couple of EPs; eight good songs of which half were superb. A good example of the high level of Spanish ensembles during the golden years of the garage sound, the second half of the 60s.
They began their short career under the influence of The Shadows, even taking their name from one of their songs (which was also the last name of their leader and bassist, Marvin, spelled backwards). They soon evolved from instrumentals to their own songs sung in Spanish, being the influence of British beat and rhythm'n blues bands definitive to produce a turning point in their style.
'Sombras' stands out not only as the definitive song in the Nivram repertoire but also as one of the most interesting nuggets recorded at the time and one of the most sought after albums by garage collectors around the world.
