It’s the story of a degenerate incarnation of the trashy punk garage, with members of Fiction Romance, Jungle Fever and other Haine Brigade and Sourire Kabyle, flagship bands of the French underground scene.
In 2015, severely shaken by the demons of rock'n'roll, the 4 protagonists have a mission: to form a new squad in the service of the God of Trash!
Thee Gunlocks was born with the sole motto "play it LOUD baby" !!!!!!!
The concerts quickly followed one another all over France.
In 2018, and in 4 days, the group found the time to perform the recording of 6 analog tracks, in Marseille, at Rudy Namite (a member of La Flingue and Aggravation among others).
We find these 6 titles for the year
following on the Soberly titled EP vinyl: Thee Gunlocks HATE YOU !!
A first release that we owe to the labels Stryckhnine Records, Pigmé Records and TAWA Records, by the smell of sulfur tempted !!!
A few months later, and after several enticing 1st parts (Peter and the Test tubes Babies, The Jackets, Vibrators, The cavemen, etc.), the Covid mows the momentum of a band in full swing, which set out to invade Germany in a 15-date blitzkrieg tour. Damned !!!
After a night full of napalm and the invocation of the trash rock'n'roll gods, the band decided to get back on track for a new album.
The picks more sharp than ever, the 4 reinvest in the Marseille studio of Rudy Namite in July 2020.
Result: 8 vicious compositions that exude urgency and savagery. The musical equivalent of the hordes of Huns galloping saber clear across the steppe.
Having decided to give free rein to their low instincts, the French labels Adrénaline Fix RECORDS, Pigmé RECORDS, Stryckhnine Records and the Spanish label Sweet Groove RECORDS have planned the release of the vinyl LP for July 2021.
