Sello: Sweet Mary

The Dirty Browns was born in Madrid as an alternative country rock band with North American roots. Ángel González (guitar and pedal steel) and Joe Lapose (voice and harmonica) began this crusade a decade ago with the member of Grupo Savage, Pepe Hernández (guitar). Later Kans Kenny (bass) and Oil Zimmerman (drums) would complete the current quintet.

"Shed Skin" should be made clear from the beginning, it does not respond to a trend or fashion, it is a firm commitment to solid and sincere musical principles, an unshakable way of understanding rock. The Dirty Browns present eight pieces of robust and convincing American rock with exquisite instrumentation that plunges into the roots and is faithful to the canons of the genre without giving up sounding powerfully current, establishing itself as an island in the national rock scene. It is a mature and contained work, with outbursts of fury and fiery stretches; but the southern country rock that it houses offers a tendency to the halftime, to a sober and serene minimalism stripped of superfluous ornaments. Free, fluid and beautiful songs that offer a compact and homogeneous whole. "Shed Skin" is an album of guitars, Hammond organs, harmonicas and rhythmic bases with a vigorous punch, an album in which the great masters appear through the front door without complexes: The Band, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Dylan, Bob Seger or The E. Street Band.
