BEATLES, THE - Abbey Road
Sello:
LP
Twelfth studio album by the British. The group met for the last time in the EMI studios, summer of '69; with a good handful of songs in the pipeline to which they had to give some final touches and with a clear objective: to put aside their differences and quarrels and finish the job honorably. And boy did they! The album is one of the masterpieces, not only of the Liverpool band but also of music in general, where a creative capacity is appreciated beyond any doubt, despite the group giving its last blows.
One of the most notable characteristics of the album was its cover, which has been repeated and copied ad nauseam, although the reality is that its composition was practically improvised. Given the difficulty of cutting the street due to the dense traffic it endured, only six photographs could be taken in the session. As a curiosity to note that the Volkswagen Beetle that appears on the cover was the victim of numerous theft of its license plate by fans.
It is also worth mentioning one of the first appearances of a synthesizer in rock music, specifically in the songs I Want You (She's So Heavy) and Because.
